Ron Sexsmith will be at the Rose on October 20 and we are really excited to present this incredible Canadian singer and songwriter to you (btw, Ron was shortlisted for the Polaris Prize 2011 and you can see a podcast of his performance at the event here: ). I'm sure many of you are already familiar with Ron but if you don't know his music, please check it out, you'll be in good company, some of his biggest fans are music legends including Paul McCartney, Elton John, Paul Simon, Elvis Costello...

He signed albums, posed for pictures, and had conversations with everyone. He recognized several fans who had met him in other venues, and called them by name. A community member on the RonSexsmith.com forum was recognized, and complimented on posts the community member had made there, which Ron had read..."

  1. Thanks very much for the quote and (particularly) for the link. It's much appreciated.

Getting to interview and then to meet Ron Sexsmith was a huge thrill, since I've been a fan of his since his debut on Interscope. Meeting one's heroes is a risky business. But, in this case, it really was a joy.

Thanks again for the mention, and for the link to the Delete Bin.
