The Your Town Throwdown Tour features Chad Brownlee, Deric Ruttan and Jason Blaine - three of country music’s rising stars all  playing under one roof. The tour kicks off on October 16 and rolls into town October 24. Without further ado, here is a brief introduction to each of the guys.

Chad Brownlee: Chad took the unconventional route to becoming a country star. Like any young Canadian boy, he dreamed of playing in the NHL. That dream nearly came true when he was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in 2003. Unfortunately, he never got to play in an NHL game, but like he said himself about his country music career “I gotta tell you that I love doing this — it is what I was meant to do.” Chad was nominated for male artist of the year at the 2013 Canadian Country Music Awards. 

Deric Ruttan: Deric was born and raised outside of Bracebridge, Ontario and, knowing that music was his passion, moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Although he didn’t receive instant recognition, he battled and finally broke through with the release of his first album which produced five singles that charted on the Canadian Country Music charts! Deric has co-written many successful songs for other artists including Blake Shelton’s hit song “Mine Would be You.”

Jason Blaine: Jason started playing guitar at 8 years old and began writing songs at 16. Unlike many kids coming out of high school, he knew exactly what he wanted to do - he wanted to be a musician. He still decided to go the post-secondary route and graduated from Ottawa’s Algonquin College. He continued to pursue his passing and most recently he was nominated for Songwriter of the Year for the song “Cool.”
